THE CENTRE
In order to protect the back, movements are carried out from the center (abdominal, lumbar and buttock muscles) also called the « power house »

CONCENTRATION
To achieve the basic principles of Pilates, the exercises require a strong focus on the movement being performed. Concentration develops harmony between the mind and body.

CONTROL
Controlling the movements allows the body to stay aligned.

FLUIDITY
Movements are fluid and performed with a balanced rhythm, this also applies for transitions between the exercises.

PRECISION
The aim is to be completely precise throughout the entire movement.

RESPIRATION
Breathing calmly helps to link the mind, soul and body so intensifying the vital benefits of the movements and encourages a better oxygenation of body tissues and blood so eliminating body toxins.
